AAP top leadership conducts strategy meetings with office bearers, leaders and MC candidates


AAP state president Bhagwant Mann, LoP Harpal Singh Cheema and Punjab in-charges Jarnail Singh and Raghav Chadha met all stakeholders to discuss party’s upcoming strategy

 Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab’s top leadership on Monday conducted meetings with all the stakeholders of the party in Amritsar and Jalandhar, to discuss the upcoming strategy post the municipal bodies’ elections held recently in the state. . A statement issued from the party headquarters said that all the office bearers, leaders and the MC candidates from Majha and Doaba region were invited for the meetings to analyse the shortcomings and discuss a strategy to strengthen the party for the upcoming 2022 assembly elections.

The meetings were convened under the leadership of AAP state president and MP Bhagwant Mann, senior leader of the party and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Punjab Assembly Harpal Singh Cheema, party’s Punjab incharge Jarnail Singh and co-incharge Raghav Chadha, who met all the stakeholders. The AAP said that the party was making all the efforts to build a stronger team for the upcoming assembly elections in Punjab. “The people of Punjab seek change and see AAP as a credible alternative. To meet the aspirations of the people, the AAP is making strategies to build an indispensable team for the upcoming assembly elections,” said the statement.

  

It further said that the Aam Aadmi Party, Punjab top leadership is on a two day tour across the state. The AAP said that zone wise meetings would be held by the top leadership of all the stakeholders. The meetings were held in Amritsar and Jalandhar on Monday, which would be followed in Moga and Samrala on Tuesday. The AAP said that the primary aim of the meetings was to meet all the stakeholders involved in recent local bodies’ polls and motivate them to keep fighting for the people of Punjab and for a progressive change that the state deserves.

In the meetings, the office bearers, local leaders and MC candidates were also encouraged for the way they had fought despite the bullying by the ruling Congress party with the help of the government machinery. The AAP said that while in power, the traditional parties in Punjab did nothing for the people and failed to develop the state. The statement said that the AAP would create a stronger team and a stronger organisation and these meetings were a starting step towards that.
