39 companies participate in job fairs virtually and physically, 831 youths take part
JALANDHAR: As many as 656 unemployed youth today got job placements during two Job Fairs organized at the offices of Multi Skill Development Centre (MSDC) and BDPO Nurmahal, on Wednesday.
Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that 831 unemployed youth took part.
As many as 39 companies including Airtel, Kundi Hand Tools, Rock Man Private Limited, Adhan Private Solutions, Agile,
Tata Sky, Exalt Health Care, State Institute of Management and Technology, Capital Medical Hall, Ayush Clinic, Akal Eye Hospital, Emzz Hair Saloon, Dishu Karyana Store, Renatus Wellness and others had participated in the job fair physically and virtually mode during which 656 unemployed youth got placements.
He added that a total of 831 unemployed youth had participated themselves for these two job fairs.
The deputy commissioner mentioned that such Job Fairs have been scheduled for the whole month of September during which avenues of employment would be offered to participants.
The Deputy Commissioner said that these Job Melas were acting as a catalyst to transform the destiny of the youth.
He said that the youth who have got jobs during the fair would become an active partner in the socio-economic growth of the state.
He said that this was another milestone to channelize the unbounded energy of the youth of the state in a positive direction.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the job fairs were, in fact, a first of its kind initiative of the state government to provide a livelihood to the unemployed youth of the state.
He added all Covid protocols including social distancing and masking were strictly followed during the job fair. The Deputy Commissioner further said that the selection of the youth for jobs would be made purely on merit through a fair and transparent system.
Deputy Commissioner also informed on Thursday (September 17), another job fair would be organized at BDPO Lohia Khas and on September 18, another job fair would be held in DBEE office in which renowned companies would participate and would offer jobs to the unemployed youths.
